You have the right to request deletion of your personal data when:
- The data is no longer necessary for the original purpose

- Deletion is required to comply with legal obligations
- The data was collected in relation to online services from a child
What Data Can Be Deleted

Non-Deletable Data

- Student academic records mandated by educational authorities
- Data required to comply with legal obligations or court orders
- Information necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you
- Data in active investigations or legal proceedings
How to Request Data Deletion
Follow these steps to request deletion of your personal data:
Prepare Your Request
Before submitting your request, please gather:
- Your full name and email address associated with the account
- Your account ID or username (if applicable)
- Name of the school or institution (for institutional accounts)
- Specific data you want deleted (if targeting specific information)
- Your relationship to the data (student, parent, staff, administrator)

Verify Your Identity
For security purposes, we need to verify your identity. Include in your request:
- A clear statement that you want to delete your personal data
- Your full name and contact information
- Account username or email associated with the data
- Any additional information that helps us locate your data
- Written authorization if requesting on behalf of someone else
Processing Timeline
After receiving your request, we will:
- Within 24 hours: Send an acknowledgment of receipt
- Within 3-5 business days: Verify your identity and review your request
- Within 30 days: Process your deletion request and notify you of completion
- Complex requests: May take up to 90 days with periodic updates

What Happens After Deletion
Once your data is deleted:
- Your personal information will be permanently removed from our active systems
- You will receive a confirmation email stating what data was deleted
- Backup copies will be deleted within 90 days in accordance with our retention policy
- Any cached or archived data will be removed during our next cleanup cycle
- You will no longer be able to access your account or associated services
Important: Data deletion is irreversible. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have exported any information you may need before submitting your deletion request.
Institution Account Considerations
For institutional accounts (schools and educational institutions):
- Deletion requests must be submitted by an authorized administrator
- We may need additional verification for institutional accounts
- Deletion of certain data may affect other users within the institution
- Some data may need to be transferred to a designated institutional administrator
- Contractual and legal obligations may require extended retention periods
- We will coordinate with the institution to minimize disruption to services
Alternative: Partial Deletion
Instead of complete deletion, you may choose to:
- Deactivate your account: Hide your profile while retaining data for reactivation
- Opt-out of marketing: Remove only marketing communications while keeping essential data
- Limit data usage: Restrict how we use your data without deletion
- Data correction: Update or correct inaccurate information instead of deletion
